IPMSA recently held its annual congress, this time in Brisbane, Australia. In the following is a summary of one of the keynote speaker's presentation; Project Management To Save Lives by Chris Cattaway.
The presentation addresses project management as a discipline in the developing world, e.g. as an instrument to tackle events as earth quakes, heavy rain fall that force people to flee. It takes a starting point in Mr. Cattaway's position at Save the Children and his experiences with carrying out project management, drawing in different stakeholders and the challenges the Ngos face in their daily work.
